  • Second grade is a time for your child to become independent and responsible learners. Parents can foster this by stepping back and keeping an eye on your child’s progress as they are gaining independence.

    Over the summer, students should READ, READ, READ!!!  
     
     
    Here are some other things you can encourage your child to do:

    • Spelling of high frequency words
    • Practice telling time:  hour, half-hour, quarter-hour
