Parkland Magnet High School welcomes parents and caring adults from the community as volunteers within our school.  All volunteers in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County School district are required to complete an online application form.  It's quick and easy - only taking a minute of your time to complete.  More information about the form can be found here. Most volunteers only need to complete the "Level I" screening. Contact Parkland's Volunteer Coordinator Rhonda Higgins with questions or for more information.

We need more parents and grandparents to take an active role at Parkland – whether you can spare an hour a week or an hour a year!  Here are just a few of the ways you can get involved:

Office Help – Volunteers are needed to help answer the phones in the school office.

Proctor – This is our biggest volunteer need.  Many of the standardized tests require a volunteer to proctor in the classroom.  Training is offered. Contact the school office or Curriculum Coordinator for more information.

PTSA Parkland PTSA supports our school community with student recognition, faculty hospitality events, parent informational meetings and communication, and increasing community support.  Membership is $7. We have a few board positions available and always welcome volunteers to help with events and programs. Contact Membership chair Rhonda Higgins for more information.
