•  About Me

Welcome to Mr. O's 5th grade classroom.  I have just finished teaching my second year at South Fork Elementary and it's been an amazing two years.  I want to wish the previous 5th grade class good luck in middle school, and I am excited to work with the new 5th graders when they return in the fall.  I am originally from Rhode Island and lived there until I attended college in Virginia.  I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Richmond in 2009.  After working as a member of the AmeriCorps team at Providence Children's Museum for a year, I went back to school and received an elementary teaching certification from the University of Rhode Island in 2011.  Some of my interests include reading, drawing, art, and sports (baseball, football, basketball, and golf).  I also enjoy traveling both within the United States and abroad.  Some of my favorite travel destinations have been San Diego, Chicago, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Turkey.  Here are some more of my favorite things:

    Book:  The Hobbit
    Food:  Lasagna
    Color:  Orange
    Animal:  Tiger

Now you know a little more about me and I look forward to learning more about all my students.
I am looking foward to another great school year!
