AIG Placement and Services
Academically Gifted identification begins with screening in 2nd grade. Identified students begin receiving services with an Academically Gifted licensed teacher in 3rd grade. Meadowlark Elementary serves children in our Academically Gifted program by homogeneously grouping our AG students together for Language Arts and math instruction. Students at Meadowlark have opportunities to interact with peers outside their AG groups during lunch, recess, field trips and self selected reading time. The teachers also provide other opportunities for students from different classes to interact with one another.
