Parkland Magnet High School is an accredited International Baccalaureate World School. The IB Diploma Program takes place during the 11th and 12th grade, with 9th and 10th grade courses providing the foundations necessary for success in the program. The rigorous course of study provides a liberal arts curriculum from a global perspective, university-level work, and required examinations that are developed and marked on an international standard.

We are pleased to offer three different IB education pathways to meet our students’ varied needs:

    • Diploma Programme (DP)
    • Career-related Programme (CP)
    • Course programme
Both our CP and Course pathways permit students to take some IB classes from the traditional “DP” pathway without attempting the full Diploma Programme.

We are also a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme for our 9th and 10th graders.*

*Parkland is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme  and pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.**
