Milton Friedman was one of America's foremost economists. His views on economic issues, formed and taught at the Chicago School of Economics, helped shape the direction of the country for half a century. In this series he will discuss a number of issues that are in our headlines today: What is the role of government in an economy? Does welfare really help the poor? Does taxing rich people raise tax revenues for a government? Should farms, companies, or whole industries be protected from collapse by government subsidies?
Your task is to watch and take notes on each of the 10 one-hour long shows and then put together a 10-page paper summarizing what you have learned. You may use other outside sources as well, but the basis of the paper MUST be the series.
Paper should be:
- Double spaced
- 1-inch margins left, right, top, bottom
- Page header should include student number and "Friedman" on each page like this:
- page numbers in the center of the page footer
There should be no title page, or title on the paper other than what I said to put in the header.
