We will be following the English 1 Skill Chart below, to prepare students for English 1. We will spend most of our time reading and writing- using the skills that will be needed to be succesful in English 1. Since I have some flexibilty in this class, it will be my mission to have students reading books of their own choosing, outside of class. Your assistance, in making sure that books are being read and reading documented, will be greatly appreciated. Please contact me for any questions or concerns via e-mail: awmonroe@wsfcs.k12.nc.us. I will try to respond within 24 hours. You can also call the school number at (336) 703-6735.
