Mr. Rodney Allen
My family is the most important thing in the world. My wife Robyn is a biology teacher at Mt. Tabor. We have three amazing children; Lizzie Grace, Liam and Connor.
I grew up in Shoals, North Carolina, a small community in Surry County. I am a 1994 graduate of Wake Forest University and received my Masters in Education, also from Wake Forest, in 1998.
I have taught at R. J. Reynolds High School since 1998. During that time I have had the honor of teaching English II, English II Seminar, English IV, Journalism,Yearbook and Shakespeare. I served as the Yearbook advisor for 14 years. I am currently the English Department Chairman and serve as the voice of the Demons at football and basketball games.
During the summer I serve as the Director of North Carolina Governor's School West a residential summer program for intellectually and artistically gifted students. I love teaching literature and look forward to sharing my passion for literature with students this year.
