Middle School Battle of the Books

The middle school Battle of the Books (BOB) competition is open to any student in grades 6-8.  Due to the pandemic and lack of interest, there was no JFK team this year (2020-21) however, be on the lookout for the 2021-22 list, due to come out in May of 2021.
It is an academic team that requires students to read from a list of books selected by school media coordinators and teachers from across the state.  The list is 22 books and students at JFK must commit to reading at least 5 off of the list in order to compete.  Only 12 students will be eligible to attend the district competition to represent JFK.  Winners will advance to a regional and then state competition.

High School Battle of the Books

High School (HBOB) is the same thing except the list has 15 books and is eligible to students in grades 9-12.  Students committing to the club must read 4 books to participate in the competition.
Due to the lack of interest and the pandemic, we will suspend HS-BOB until the 2021-22 season.  Get started now by reading the 2021-22 list found here!
