Middle School Battle of the Books
The middle school Battle of the Books (BOB) competition is open to any student in grades 6-8. It's over for the 2019-20 school, but you can get started by reading next year's list of books!
It is an academic team that requires students to read from a list of books selected by school media coordinators and teachers from across the state. The list is 22 books and students at JFK must commit to reading at least 5 off of the list in order to compete. Only 12 students will be eligible to attend the district competition to represent JFK. Winners will advance to a regional and then state competition.
High School Battle of the Books
High School (HBOB) is the same thing except the list has 15 books and is eligible to students in grades 9-12. Students committing to the club must read 4 books to participate in the competition.
