Reading/ELAReading practice each night is a great way to help your student build their reading fluency and sight word recognition. I want all of my children to be strong readers as they leave the 1st grade classroom and move into 2nd grade. We spend over 90 minutes of our school day working on reading, word work, and fluency words. The students work in small groups with each other as well as meet with me in a group and sometimes individually, if they need extra help on a skill that is difficult for them. We will be having a small amount of homework each night to practice those reading skills. If you need some extra reading books or resources let me know and I will get you some extra books on your students reading level to use at home.
