    • Colonization
    • A New Nation
    • A Growing Nation
    • A Nation Divided
    • Reconstruction
    • Financial Literacy

    Ways we learn these topics will differ but include:

    •  Group work
    • In depth novel work using Blood on the River by Elisa Carbonne
    • Novel study of The Woods Runner by Gary Paulsen
    • Simulations for Westward expansion and the Civil War where the kids play roles and learn what it was REALLY like to go through these events.
    • Laptop workshop for completing the Vault program online... cool certificate of completion when we finish!
