AP World History
AP World History is designed with emphasis on broad non-Western themes and global ‘patterns of interaction’.  It is large in scale, in time, and work required.  The world’s history is divided into six chronological eras, based on the ebb and flow of civilizations and movements of people.  Topics include classical civilizations, religions and their influence on society, gender and social structure and their change over time, political and economic developments and setbacks, influence of nomadic peoples, and artistic, cultural and technological developments within and across societies.  Additionally the course uses primary source analysis, as well as other high level reading and writing techniques for this exploration.
