    Classroom Rules:
    1. Students are to follow directions the first time they are given.
    2. Students are to keep hands, feet and other object to themselves.
    3. Students are to raise their hands to speak; no blurting.
    4. Students will show respect to each other; no put downs, bullying or teasing.

     Classroom Expectations:
Students will show PRIDE each day in our classroom, hallways, specials and at lunch. Positive attitude, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Effort are all qualities that we teach and expect our students to demonstrate daily at Cook Elementary. Each of these expectations has a point value for the day. Students always begin their day on a 5.
If a student does not follow the rules, we identify with that student which quality of PRIDE they need to improve, give him/her a verbal warning and redirect to a better choice. If a student chooses to continue to break a rule, then a point will be demoted from their daily total of 5 for each time they require redirection. Students can earn points back, if they demonstrate an effort to change their behavior and make good choices.

Students who maintain a 5 every day of that week are eligible for Student of the Week the following week. We are very proud of students who consistently show their PRIDE!
