• Welcome to Wiley Magnet Middle School!

My name is Catherine Pritchard and this is my 2nd year at Wiley Magnet Middle School. It is an honor to be a part of the Wiley family and I am excited to serve all students in a creative and supportive learning environment. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Health Sciences from Guilford College and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Salem College.

This year I am working with all 7th grade students and Team 801. I look forward to meeting and connecting with students, parents, and community members throughout the year. I aspire to help students achieve success in all areas of their lives. Students, please schedule an appointment or obtain a pass from your teacher to see me. Parents and community members, please contact me at any time to talk or schedule a time to meet. School counselors work to assist students and families in a variety of ways. My goal is to ensure all students are connected to the resources they need to be successful in the classroom and their broader lives. School counselors help students with academic, college and career, and personal/social needs. I work with students individually, in small groups, and in their classrooms using a comprehensive school counseling model and tools designed to reach all students.

    7th Graders
Seventh grade if the in-between middle school year. You are already familiar with the school, routines, teachers, and friends. This is the year to work on building solid work habits and striving to do your very best. Your 7th grade EOG scores will determine your placement in high school classes, so this is the year to do well in all of your classes.

Please contact me with any questions or to schedule a time to talk at: 727-2378 or mcpritchard@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.
