At the beginning of the year each student must return the Lab Safety Contract signed by themselves and a parent/guardian. Before every lab the teacher goes over lab safety rules and guidelines in general as well as specific rules and regulations that may need to be addressed for the particular lab being done. Safety of the student and of the classroom is stressed at all times. Horseplay is never permitted as it often results in broken lab equipment and or injury to students or property. If it is determined that a student's negligence causes injury, broken lab equipment, or damage to property the student will incur punishment which will be determined by a school administrator.
