Welcome to my web page!
I am the Inclusion English Teacher at the Career Center. I am happy to be working with you or your child. As I get to know students and parents, I would like to share a little about me:
I grew up on the coast of North/South Carolina near Little River, S.C. I moved to the Tidewater Virginia area and graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduation, I moved to Winston-Salem in 1996 and began my teaching career. I continued my education at Salem with a M.A.T. in Learning Disabilities.
In my personal time, I spend lots of time with my two dogs, cat, and fish. I love to garden, cook, and I love music and dancing. I also like to bake dog biscuits where proceeds benefit the Forsyth Humane Society.
When collaborating with my co-teachers and students, I try to find strategies to help students find success. I am an advocate for the use of technology. I share these with students everyday and encourage everyone to use them. Below, please find links to two of my favorites that can be used in all classes! I am also available to assist with organization and time management. Please let me know any way that I can assist you in reaching your educational goals!

I am available in room #323 during planning 4th, 5th, and 7th periods.
