My name is Hope Scofield. This is my second year teaching, and my first at Northwest. I graduated from Wake Forest University in 2011 with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Psychology. After a few years of working as a nanny I realized that my passion for working with kids was much stronger than my desire to be an academic, and that teaching would allow me to keep learning while sharing my knowledge with young minds in creative ways.
I am really looking forward to working with you this year to help your children further develop their love of science, and more importantly of learning. I feel very strongly that a successful classroom requires the willingness of teachers, students, and parents to cooperate- to listen and adapt to each other. I will do my absolute best to make use of the Remind 101 messaging system I have set up for each of my class periods, and I hope that you will feel comfortable coming to me with any questions you have.Classroom Rules:1. This is a Safe Place (emotionally, physically, and mentally)2. I am the boss!3. Be Prepared!
