• What is PBIS?

Positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) is a system that organized adults and students to create a culture in a school that encourages positive behavior and interactions while discouraging problem behaviors.  This culture leads to a safer environment where students achieve academically and build positive relationships with each other and with adults.  PBIS helps children at North Hills Elementary behave in a safe and respectful way so that all students are ready to learn.

PBIS includes school-wide procedures and processes intended for:
    • All students, all staff, and in all settings
    • Non-classroom settings within the school environment
    • Individual classrooms and teachers
  • What is ROAR?

Students are expected to show appropriate behavior at all times following the school acronym R.O.A.R.:
