    Biography:
    A music educator since 1989, Mignon Dobbins holds the Master of Music in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) of music for ages early adolescent through young adult.  Ms. Dobbins teaches chorus full time at Reagan High School, where she serves as music director for the spring musical.  In the community Ms. Dobbins is Music Director for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winston-Salem, has sung with the Bel Canto Company and the Piedmont Chamber Singers, and occasionally freelances as music director for area community theaters.      Most of Ms. Dobbins's family members are music educators and/or performers.  About her work, she says, “I value the relationships that develop and are strengthened through choral music: the emotional connectedness, the nonverbal communication, the sense of trust, the thrill of achievement, and the inspiration of poetry and music.”
