Athletic Training Objective
The objective of the Sports Medicine program is to provide the highest standard of care for the student-athletes. We ensure that your child’s health and safety is our top priority, and we pride ourselves in providing quality care when an unforeseen injury occurs. The Certified Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Staff oversees roughly 600 athletes annually. Be assured, we adhere to our scope of practice, and will demonstrate sound judgment and referrals when necessary.
As part of a complete health care team, our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) work under the direction of a licensed physician and in cooperation with other health care professionals, athletics administrators, coaches and parents. Certified Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who specialize in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries.
