Julie Miller- Instructional Facilitator

This is my tenth year at JES, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to support the staff, students, and families of our school as the school's Instructional Facilitator.

I previously taught in Chapel Hill, NC; Greenville, NC; Gaithersburg, MD; and Singapore. I have been a Reading Specialist, a Resource Teacher, an Academically Gifted (AG) Teacher, and a Regular Classroom Teacher for various elementary grades. I have my National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: English-Language Arts.

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill---and am a devoted Tar Heel! I have been happily married for 24 years to Lance Miller. Through his work in cancer research, we have had the opportunity to live in many places. Before moving to Winston-Salem, our family lived in Singapore for 7 years. These years overseas were full of learning and adventure as we explored other countries, cultures, customs, and cuisines. We have 3 amazing children (who all attended JES). Anna Kate is currently a Junior at Appalachian State University; Laney is a Freshman at Wake Forest University; and Jackson is a Sophomore at MTHS.

I look forward to working "hand-in-hand" as we strive to grow our JES students!
