Information for 2022 Summer Learning Programs
-
Registration is now closed for the 2021-2022 Summer Programs. Parents can now apply to be on the waitlist for a summer program.
(Being on the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance)Students in the 2021-2022 academic year continued to face some challenges returning to school. Recognizing COVID-19 impacted many students and created missed learning opportunities, WS/FCS remains committed to providing summer learning opportunities to meet the educational recovery, social, emotional, and physical needs of students. Each program is unique and different. Some programs have a direct priority on grades served, while others may be goal oriented to academic recovery, and then there are some that are enrichment solely. Our programs are available for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade and are aligned with district and state goals for students whose learning has had a negative impact as a result of COVID-19. Be sure to read through the description of each of our programs offered. All programs* are free for students, most provide transportation, and all provide breakfast and lunch.
Parents and students with more specific questions related to summer programs can call the Summer Program Hotline at (336) 661-3120 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The hotline will be available until July 8, 2022.
*Summer Enrichment is a fee-based program; however, this program has scholarship opportunities.
