• Freshman Orientation

This exciting day will be on Tuesday, August 23rd from 8:30am-2:30pm and is designed to provide students with unique and engaging opportunities to become familiar with West Forsyth and to build the organizational, social, and personal skills needed for success at the high school level. In addition to participating in many activities, students will meet faculty members and learn about being a high school student. Please note, the orientation program is only for students who will be rising 9th graders during the 2022-2023 school year. We are asking all families/students to register for the orientation using the following link: 2022 9th Grade Orientation Registration Form. The information provided will help with logistics planning and outlining resource needs for each student at each school. Transportation is provided if students have completed the annual transportation forms by July 28.  BUSES WILL BE PICKING STUDENTS UP ON ORIENTATION DAY APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE ASSIGNED MORNING BUS STOP TIME. Free meals are provided for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch or they can be purchased. Lunches from home are welcome. Campus will close at 2:30pm to allow staff to prepare for Open House.

Transfer Students (10th-12th grade students new to West ONLY)

Transferring to a different high school can be a challenging experience; therefore, the West Forsyth Office of Student Services will sponsor a short orientation program for  10th-12th grade students new to West on Tuesday, August 23.  The program will give new students an opportunity to meet each other and become more familiar with the campus and resources at West Forsyth.  The program will begin in the Media Center at 4:30 pm and end at approximately 5:00 pm, followed by a brief campus tour.

The orientation program is limited to students; however, parents are encouraged to drop off their students in the Media Center by 4:30 pm and can plan to join their son/daughter at the end of the program at 5:00 pm.  After the program, families are encouraged to attend Open House together which runs from 5:00-7:00 pm and allows students and parents an opportunity to meet the teachers.

To help us plan for the program more efficiently, we ask that you please contact the Office of Student Services by August 22 to let us know if you intend to participate.  The phone number is 336-712-4400.  We look forward to welcoming you to West and helping with your adjustment to a new high school.

    10th-12th Grade Open House

Open House will be on Tuesday, August 23rd, 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Students should first report to their homerooms to pick up their class schedules, then they can visit their classroom teachers in any order to meet their teachers and pick up information about their classes and required supplies. Homeroom lists will be posted on the West Forsyth website and around campus beginning Monday, August 22nd. We are looking forward to seeing our returning Titans!
