Meadowlark Middle School Open House Information
WELCOME TO 23-24 SCHOOL YEAR!
Welcome back Mustangs! We are excited to share some valuable information with you about this upcoming year. On this flyer you will find all the information that is needed to have a successful year here at Meadowlark Middle. Please, read through each section and we will see you soon!
We have planned an exciting Orientation for our rising sixth graders from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We encourage you to come with your child and meet their teachers as they start this exciting time moving into middle school. This is the start of a vital partnership that drives student success.
Open House will operate on the following schedule:
6th gr: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM -7:30 PM
7th gr: 5:30 PM -7:30 PM
8th gr: 5:30 PM-7:30 PM
Students & parents can visit any of their teachers in any order they wish.
ENGAGE: stations will be set up with information on specific topics such as Athletics, Clubs, Leadership & Service, PTA, Child Nutrition, etc.
Bus stop information will be distributed on August 24th during Orientation/Open House. CLICK HERE to access Bus Stop Info. Transportation Dept. cannot process any new stop requests until mid-September. For the first 30 days of school, students can only ride the bus they have been assigned.
Child Nutrition encourages parents to apply for free/reduced meals. Applications are available at all open meal sites, school offices and the Child Nutrition Office. Click Child Nutrition for more information.
Any student wishing to try out for sports must have a current physical and turn in medical release forms & concussion forms. Physicals require a doctor’s examination, signature, and complete insurance information; they are valid for one calendar year.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
The first day of school is Monday, August 29. Doors will open at 7:00AM. Students must report to their homeroom BEFORE 7:25AM or they will be counted ABSENT. Tardy students must report to main office for a tardy pass. Parents who are bringing their children to school are urged to add in time for traffic, so they are not late.

7th gr Tdap & MCV Vaccines
All seventh graders are required to get the Tdap & MCV Vaccines. Documentation for proof of vaccination is due Wednesday, September 22. Students that do not turn in proof, will not be allowed to attend school until documentation is provided
