    My education

    I graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I received a Master’s degree In Special Education from NC A&T State University and licensure in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. I achieved National Board of Professional Teaching certification in Early-Middle Childhood Literacy. Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.

    Previous experience

    Assistant Principal in Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools, EC Case Manager Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, Full-time administrative  internship,  District Trainer, Parent Academy Facilitator, Department Chair, Lead Teacher, Exceptional Children’s Teacher and Elementary teacher in Guilford County Schools.  I am a Veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard. I served as an enlisted soldier and was eventually promoted to 2nd Lieutenant.

    About me

    I am excited about my current position as Principal of The Children’s Center. I have travelled many places but I call North Carolina home. I have a heart for children and education is my passion.  I have 25 years of experience in education. My husband, Arthur, and I have four children and three grandchildren. In my spare time I am active in my husband’s ministry and our church. I love entertaining and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people.

    My husband has a motorcycle. I just love riding with him!
