    Re-Opening Parent & Student FAQ's

  • If we choose to continue with remote learning, will we have the option to switch to in-person later in the year?

  • If we chose to go onsite but fear child has contact with a Covid would we switch to remote for 14 days to self isolate?

  • Will screen time decrease in person or will kids still be on computers?

  • If the child needs to remain with primary teacher throughout the day, how will this work with those who require daily resource pull out?

  • Will kindergarteners parents be allowed to walk them to class or visit the students for birthdays, lunch, etc?

  • Will the cafeteria be open and serving food? How will that be done?

  • Are masks required for all students of all ages? What about teachers? Will masks and other PPE be provided?

  • If we chose to go onsite but fear child has contact with Covid would we switch to remote for 14 days to self isolate?

  • What will socially distanced recess look like?

  • If we want to switch back to remote learning if we feel like the in person learning isn't working for our student, will there be more flexibility with this?

  • What the day will look like for the kids who go back vs choose remote? How will teachers keep both engaged?

  • If we choose remote, can we switch to in person later in the school year?

  • Can we please extend the deadline to make a decision by one more week? There are several questions in this FAQ for which we do not have enough information yet, specifically about the plan for contact tracing. Please consider extending the deadline to decide until October 16th

  • Will the remote learning experience be different once we move to plan B? Will remote students be mainly observing or will they be called on to participate, give answers, etc?

  • Will the school bell and class schedules change ?
