• Greetings Career Center High School Families,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! Our learning community is so glad you join us as we embark on an exciting year of teaching and learning. As I start my third year as Principal at Career Center, I am inspired by the tradition of service and commitment to student success that has defined our school for over half a century.  Career Center's remarkable history points to an even more exciting future! If your family is new to the Career Center High School, I extend a warm welcome from the CC family and look forward to meeting you in person.

I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, then moved to sunny Wisconsin to attend Marquette University with a BA in Mathematics and High School Education. In 1998 I completed my Masters in Guidance Counseling and, in 2019, my Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I moved to Charlotte in 2015 to open a brand-new school for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, which was both challenging and rewarding!  In 2020, I had the opportunity to join the WSFCS district and become the first Latina ever to lead a high school in our district.  I am proud to be part of such a fantastic team at Career and look forward to our continued partnership in providing our scholars with the best high school experience

We look to this academic year with a renewed commitment to excellence in all we do. As we always have, we will provide world-class instruction with the expectation to create a learning environment where all students find success in the pursuit of greatness. Whether our scholars choose AP courses, trade programs, or one of our many honors and specialty courses, our mission remains the same: to inspire, motivate, and prepare students to successfully attain their future goals with confidence and pride! We will continue to promote equity of access to educational opportunities on our campus.

Get ready for a school year filled with adventure, learning, and fun experiences!

    Shoulder to Shoulder
