I can hardly believe that I am in my twelfth year as a counselor at RJ Reynolds!! I have truly enjoyed my time here. Prior to coming to Reynolds, I was an elementary counselor for 12 years having worked at Whitaker Elementary, Old Town Elementary, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School and the Children's Center for the Physically Handicapped. It has been fun to be with many of my former students as they go through high school, graduate and head off to college!

A native of New Orleans, I have lived in Tennessee, Illinois and Delaware prior to settling in North Carolina. I graduated from East Tennessee State University with an undergraduate degree in School Social Work and a Masters in Counseling from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. My husband and I have two children, Bronce and Jessica, that graduated from Mt. Tabor. Bronce is a graduate of NC State University and Jessica graduated from Johnson and Wale's University in Charlotte. In the summer of 2012, we added to our family when our son got married.  Sarah is from Virginia and attended Longwood University for her undergraduate degree and George Mason for her graduate degree.  We are very happy to have her as part of our family!

In addition to helping my students with personal issues and planning life after high school, I am the Career Counselor, Vocational and Special Populations Coordinator, Crosby Scholars representative, coordinator of the ASVAB test and the Career Technical Education tests. I also serve on the Scholarship Committee, the School Assistance team and the Hospitality Committee.
