Darlene Burris, Finance Officer
I am excited to be named the Lead/Financial Secretary for Lewisville Middle School!
Over the past 16 years that I have spent in Education, I have served students at all three levels. Meadowlark Elementary was my first experience, beginning as a teacher assistant and then moving into various administrative assistant roles. As I transitioned from elementary to secondary education, I continued in various administrative assistant roles at Meadowlark Middle School and West Forsyth High School. I feel that I have always had the best of all worlds as I am able to work with students, staff, families, and our community on a daily basis.
I enjoy working with students, at all levels, and have had the opportunity to co-sponsor the Student Government Association at West Forsyth, along with volunteering with different organizations, as PTAs and Booster Clubs over the tenure of my career.
I believe that all students have their own special gift and we, in education, are responsible for helping them cultivate it. I believe that Lewisville Middle will provide the environment where this will be evident every day and I am so grateful to be a part of it!Ellen Cruz, Social Studies
