• My name is Ashley Balint. I am the MTSS interventionist at Piney Grove Elementary School. I am so excited to be a panda 🐼.

I graduated from Troy University with a degree in Collaborative Education K-6. I taught Exceptional children’s for 9 years. During my 9 years of teaching, I worked with grade levels K-5. While teaching, I was able to acquire an additional certification in the area of Elementary Education.

    I don’t teach. I make them think.

A snapshot of what MTSS looks like:

MTSS is a multi-step process of providing instruction and support to promote the academic and behavioral success of all children. Individual children’s progress is monitored and results are used to make decisions about further instruction and intervention. MTSS is most commonly used in addressing reading, math and behavior, but it can also be used in other areas. The MTSS process is flexible and designed by school districts to meet the needs of their students.
