Rachel Scott, Assistant Principal of Instruction
I am so proud to be a part of the JFK Lion family! I graduated from UNC Greensboro as a NC Teaching Fellow in 2007 and taught middle grades language arts and social studies for 7 years in Guilford County. I then earned my MA Ed in Instructional Technology from ECU and transitioned to a Blended Learning Coach role at Valley Academy in Lexington where I developed a passion for CTE and vocational learning pathways. After gathering further experience from coaching and facilitator roles in Alamance and Guilford County, I earned my PMC in school administration from UNCG and am excited to be your assistant principal! I enjoy spending time with my 7-year-old daughter, traveling, and cooking in my spare time. Thank you so much for entrusting us with your child’s education!
Tim Hagmann, Assistant Principal
I am very excited to be part of the John F. Kennedy Team, looking forward to another great year of teaching and learning. I always strive to follow a growth mindset, continually learning, and improving my skills as a teacher, a coach, and a leader. I believe in the old cliché of being a lifelong learner. I have always been a very goal-oriented, competitive person who believes accomplishments do not happen by accident, but are a product of hard work, learning, and effort. I believe that risk-taking has provided successes and failures that have fueled my passion for being better. I embrace the future and welcome challenges that help me grow as a professional. The one constant in life is change. I accept my successes and failures as feedback to continue my professional growth.
