    William Ward

Welcome to Kimmel Farm Elementary's Music Program and to the 2015-2016 school year! My name is William Ward and I am the full-time music teacher. I possess a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Lowell State College and a Master's of Music from the University of Lowell, Massachusetts.

This is my first year at Kimmel Farm Elementary School and my eleventh in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.

Since moving to North Carolina, I have taught at Mineral Springs Middle School, Philo Middle School, Hill Arts Magnet School and Flat Rock Middle School.  I was the director of the Young Men's Ensemble of the Winston Salem Children's Chorus, and the changed voices (middle and high school young men) of the Saint Paul's Choristers. Also, I taught in the Royal School of Church Music program at Saint Paul's here in Winston-Salem.

My professional memberships include: NAfME (National Association for Music Education), NCMEA (North Carolina Music Educators Association).

I am very excited about working with your child this year. The main thing they need to bring to each and every class is a willingness to explore the art of music. There will be a chorus program and I am anticipating doing a musical. Any and all support you are willing to offer in these endeavors is crucial in performance success.

I can be reached using my email, weward@wsfcs.k12.nc.us or by calling the school and leaving a message. I will call you back or answer your email as soon as possible. You are the key element in your child's education. Thank you in advance for your support of the music department in the WSFCS system. This promises to be an exciting year!!!!!

    Very truly yours,

    William Ward
