    "Be The Change"

The 2015/2016 school year will be a wonderful adventure for our Mariner team! We have developed a fascinating Social Studies curriculum that is carefully planned to establish cross-curricular units with Language Arts classes. Bringing a strong Humanities perspective to the classroom will inspire our gifted learners and allow them to make connections between subjects. We also look forward to exciting field trips, problem based learning and using technology to create student projects! We will work to build a classroom community where students are leaders who communicate, cooperate, and take ownership of their own learning.

"BE THE CHANGE" will be an overarching theme throughout the year as we participate in service learning experiences and develop problem/solution projects. Students will identify and understand challenges we face collectively in our communities, in our country and in our world. As they plan solutions and work to make a difference, they will understand their place and potential in the "global village".

Check the HAG/AG Inquiry tab on this website to see photos and links to great student products - it is a blog style page so our most current work is displayed first but you can look back at student work from past years also.
“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.” Oprah Winfrey
