Hello TJMS Families!
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. My name is Monica Stowers and I have the honor to serve as your PTA President. I hope you all are healthy and have had a pleasant summer.
We all are aware of the crisis around the globe that has had a direct impact on our school system. This has no doubt been stressful for many families, but rest assured that your PTA is here to support you, your children, and our staff. We are going to miss seeing the students and staff through our daily volunteer work and being able to meet and work with you, the parents that join us in our mission to support our wonderful students and staff in person.
As we begin this school year on Remote Learning, many aspects of how our PTA functions have changed but we are working fervently to still serve and support our community of families.
It is imperative that you stay connected, as information comes out on a regular basis and it is extremely helpful to “stay in the know”. We have several communication channels to update you on PTA and other TJMS events. The Patriot Post comes out via email every other week on Sunday evenings. Our TJMS PTA Facebook page and our PTA Website have great information with regular updates from WSFCS and our Principal, Mr. Shane O’Neal. You will also find information about membership, volunteer opportunities, pledging financial support, food pantry needs and more. TJMS also sends out weekly e-blast and phone calls to keep you current.
We are rooting for our students and our teachers to have a positive adjustment to Remote Learning and hope to find ways to acknowledge them for their hard work and dedication. As a parent of a middle schooler and a high schooler, I know the struggle all too well, so support and acknowledgement of our parents is also important to us. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Wishing you all the best for a smooth and successful school year!
