For those of you who are new to the "Jefferson Village", you are about to embark on an experience of a life time. There are so many wonderful adventures to explore and through the Computer Skills & Apps 1 (CSA-1 keyboarding and WORD documents), Computer Skills & Apps 2 (CSA2~PowerPoint, Excel, Advanced Word Documents, and Digital Literacy) and Exploring Business, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (BME), your explorations will be easy. In the "BFIT" lab you will develop new skills on the QWERTY keyboard, generate spreadsheets in need of calculations and documents to be created and formatted. The Exploring Business, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (BME) course will proved students an opportunity to an explore types of business ownership and the skilled needed to be successful in the 21st Century world of work. Are you feeling the excitement?
I am so glad to have you in my class. This begins my 17th year as a business teacher at Jefferson and over the years I have taught many of your brothers and sisters and hopefully they are using the skills they learned in my classes as they have continued on in school.
Now a little about me. I attended Brenau College in Gainesville, GA, and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from AppState and a Masters in Middle School Education from East Carolina. To add to my teaching credentials, I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood/Career and Technical Education.
In order to stay on top of "hot topics" in technology and "hot topics" that interest our middle school students, I must stay in school...just like you! There is always something new to learn so be ready to learn from me because I know I will learn from you!Mrs. Riddle
