    Physical Education Policies

    • You may choose to wear a WS/FCS uniform or purchase a Meadowlark Middle School uniform. WS/FCS uniform is a standard issue for the school system. The MMS uniform consists of black mesh shorts and a gray shirt. It must be ordered through the Physical Education Department. It is the responsibility of each student to keep his/her uniform clean!
    • You must wear tennis shoes laced and tied securely for all activities during class. You will not be allowed to go barefoot. Shorts must be worn properly (NO SAGGING or ROLLING UP).
    • You must bring all necessary items with you when you report to class. You will not be allowed to return to your locker for forgotten items.
    • You will be given 5 minutes at the beginning of class to get dressed. Students that do not dress out for class will receive a zero for their daily grade.
    • You will be required to dress and participate at all times. A note from your parents may (dependent on the problem) excuse you from the activity for the day. To be excused for an extended period, a doctor's note is required. When excused from participation, you are still expected to dress out for class and an alternative activity will be assigned. If you have a history of prior illness or physical conditions which may affect your participation, please, send a note for our records.
    • You are responsible for keeping up with your uniform, shoes and other belongings. Students may bring a lock from home to use during the class period only. Any lock that is left after the class period will be cut off.
    • For safety reasons, jewelry should not be worn during physical education class.
    • Chewing gum, candy, and food will not be permitted in class. Non-glass water bottles are fine for when classes are outside.
    • You are not to use any physical education equipment without permission or the supervision of the instructor.
    • Cellular phones, ipods, or any other electronic device should not be brought to the gym.
