    I am Kieran Brown, and I am looking forward to another great year.  There's some great technology and business opportunities to explore through the Principles of Business & Finance and Personal Finance. f

    g No matter what career your go into you will manage money and practical financial training will be essential to being successful. The materials that we will cover in Principles of Business & Finance and Personal Finance will benefit you throughout your lives. I like to introduce some of Dave Ramsey's Principles and videos, The Stock Market Competition and Everfi to supplement and demonstrate how these principles are used.
     
    We will take several fieldtrips throughout the year to banks and credit unions and get a better understanding of their important roles in our financial lives. As the FBLA advisor, as members you will have the opportunity to use business skills and financial skills learned in class in competitive events at Regional, State and Nationals.f
     
    I am so glad to have you in my class. This begins my tenth year as a business teacher. You will be using the skills you learn in my classes as you continue through school and throughout your lives.

    A little Information about me.  I attended High Point University, and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I received my first masters degree from     Columbia International University and my second masters degree from NCA&T in Business Education.  To add to my teaching credentials, I am a National Board Certified Teacher in  Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood/Career and Technical Education. I was teacher of the year in 2010.
     
    I love playing tennis and riding motorcycles on cool spring days. I love my church family. I have been married for 28 years and love spending time with my family and my grandchildren, Connor and Bobbi.
     
    In order to stay on top of  technology and  "hot topics" that interest high school students, I must stay in school...just like you! There is always something new to learn so be ready to learn from me because I know I will learn from you!
