      Lisa Bodenheimer, Principal

      • Hello Wiley Wolverines!
My name is Lisa Bodenheimer and I am your proud principal.   This will be my sixth year at Wiley! Prior to becoming a Wolverine, I was an assistant principal at Paisley IB Magnet School for 6 1/2 years.  I also served the WSFCS middle school math teachers as their Instructional Coach.  I spent fourteen years in the classroom as a math teacher at Mineral Springs Magnet School, Kennedy Learning Center, in both the LEAP and Gateway programs, and Kennedy Middle School.
I completed my EdS degree as an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations at UNC-Greensboro as part of the IMPACT V grant that Paisley received with a focus on technology and leadership.  I completed my Masters in School Administration at NC A&T State University.  My undergraduate degree was in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in math and social studies from UNC-Chapel Hill where I was also a NC Teaching Fellow.  GO TARHEELS!
I love being an educator and am very passionate about the work we do to equip all students to be ready for college or career after they graduate.  I am excited about Wiley's focus on STEAM and providing students with a well rounded education.  It is important for students to use what they have learned to solve problems and express their knowledge creatively. I know that remote learning can be challenging, but I promise that your teachers and administrators will do everything we can to help you be successful.
When I am not at Wiley, I spend my free time with my family.  I have a husband of 27 years, three children plus a son-in-law, an adult daughter and her husband who gave me the lights of my life, my sweet granddaughter and a new grandson, a son who is a junior at Appalachian State University, and a son who is a junior at Reagan High School. I love working around my house and playing with my beagle, Bodie!

Prior to joining the Wiley Magnet Middle family, I spent 5 years at Flat Rock Middle School as the instructional facilitator.  I spent eight years teaching third and fourth grade Language Arts and Social Studies in both Guilford and Forsyth counties.  I student taught at Sherwood Forest Elementary and began my teaching career at Forest Park Elementary in Forsyth County.  I transitioned to Jesse Wharton Elementary in Guilford county before returning back to Forsyth County.

I completed my B.S in Elementary Education and my M.A in School Leadership and Administration at Gardner-Webb University, GO RUNNIN’ BULLDOGS!  In the Spring I will continue my educational journey and begin work on my Ed.S in Educational Leadership.

When I am not at Wiley, I spend my time with my family and friends.  I have two dogs, Zoey and Denver.  Zoey is 6 and thinks she “runs” the house and loves to play.  She likes to be the “momma” to everyone even when she thinks they are in trouble.  Denver is 3 and loves to cuddle and play.  He is a daddy’s boy and never leaves my side.  My family and I love being outside hiking, gardening or spending time at the beach.  Our favorite place to visit is Charleston, South Carolina.

I am looking forward to working with you and your family during the school year.  You may reach me at 336-727-2378 or by email at

      Natassha Jenkins, Asst. Principal

      • My name is Natassha Jenkins and I am the 7th grade administrator. This is my second year at Wiley and I am so excited and honored to be a part of this incredible family.

Prior to joining Wiley, I spent two years at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy as the instructional facilitator and assistant principal. I served one year at David W. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University (Go Pack!) were I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. It was my original dream to become a Supreme Court judge. However, I spent the summer after I graduated from NC State tutoring elementary English language learners in reading and found a love for education. In addition to my B.A. in Political Science I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master's Degrees in Multicultural Education and School Administration.

I am married to my best friend, my husband, who is also an educator here in Winston-Salem. We have three sons ages 12, 7 and 1. Our oldest son is a student here at Wiley. I enjoy traveling, the beach, sports, reading and spending time with my family. I am a huge NC State and Carolina Panthers fan.

As an educator I strive to raise student achievement and inspire students to develop a life-long passion for learning. It is my goal to ensure that every student who leaves Wiley is prepared for high school, college and to a productive citizen in society who are capable of competing in the global economy.

      • My name is Brittany Polk and I am honored to join the Wiley Magnet Middle School family as the 6th grade administrator. This will be my first year at Wiley and I am looking forward to leading and learning in this very special school community.

My journey in education began here in Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools while attending my beloved alma mater Winston Salem State University where I completed my B.S. in Middle Grades Education and completed my student teaching experience here at Wiley! I previously taught sixth and seventh grade at Walkertown Middle School and most recently served as the reading interventionist at Whitaker Elementary School. I am also a graduate of North Carolina State University where I received my Master’s in School Administration as a North Carolina Principal Fellow and completed my administrative internship at Whitaker Elementary School.

A native of Lincolnton, North Carolina, I’m a product of a loving “village” that are my biggest supporters. A person who values work-life-balance, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, music, visiting historical sites and museums, reading, a good sale at a store,  golf, and all things Harry Potter!

Middle school is a pivotal time in a student’s life both academically and developmentally. As an educator, my priority is to cultivate an environment of high scholastic standards, personal responsibility, and leadership.  My hope is that I can support student’s through this time of self-discovery while achieving their personal best here at Wiley.
