Welcome to a new school year!
I am excited to welcome our new first grade class of 20 students! We want to especially welcome those families that are
    new to Cash this year!
This will be Mrs. Watt's 18th year teaching first grade at Cash Elementary School!  She grew up as an "Army brat" and traveled a lot before settling in North Carolina.  She went to college in Virginia and received her M.Ed. in Reading from UNC-G.  This year, all 3 of her children will be at Cash: AJ in 5th grade, Jessie in 3rd grade, and Deanna in Kindergarten!

Mrs. Watt always has high expectations for her students and her basic philosophy of teaching is that ALL children CAN learn, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, disabilities or backgrounds.

Ms.Woodward is our wonderful classroom assistant who will work with all the first grade classrooms this year.  She has been at Cash for many years and we are fortunate to have her help in first grade.
Every year Mrs. Watt is blessed with a wonderfully diverse group of first graders and we will surely build upon each others' strengths and learn from each other every day.  It takes a lot of cooperation from every child, teacher, and parent to make our class run smoothly throughout the year.  I GREATLY appreciate all the support you give me and our class, and I look forward to building relationships with you!
