Welcome to the 4th grade!  You have joined O'Sullivan's Pirates!

Hello!  My name is Nancy O'Sullivan and this is my second year as a 4th grade teacher here at Walkertown Elementary!  I have previously taught 5th grade both in Guilford County and in Forsyth County but I am extremely excited to be part of the Walkertown Wolfpack as a fourth grade teacher again this year.

I am originally from Kansas but spent 20 years in California before my husband was transferred to North Carolina.  I currently  live in Jamestown (about 25 minutes drive) with my husband, Joe, and our rescue Wheaten Terrier, Cooper.  We have six children (four sons and two daughters) who have all moved out on their own, so our home is rather quiet!!!  My first career was as an Occupational Therapist (graduated from the University of Kansas).  Once we began to have children, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my children.  After they were in high school, I decided to go back and get my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction  at UNCG and follow a lifelong dream to become a teacher.  I have not regretted my decision for a minute!!

I love children and I love learning...hopefully I will be able to continue to challenge, motivate and inspire your child to reach his/her fullest potential.  If you have any questions during the year, please feel free to contact me either by note, e-mail or leaving a message in the office.  I believe that education of a child is a  job that requires teacher, parents and students working together to help your child achieve his/her dreams! I look forward to the coming year with your student and you.
