                                            Meet the Teacher

    Welcome to my classroom! I am so glad to be starting another year with a great group of new friends! My name is Mrs. Reid I have taught several grades at Hall-Woodward Kindergarten,1st, 3rd, 4th and primary reading. This year I will be teaching first grade . I have one son that's in the 7th grade this year. I am looking forward to a great year.


       
     
                                           

    Reading
    You are your child's first and most important teacher. Helping your child become a reader is the single most important thing at helping your child succed in school.

    Reading Tips
    *Read with your child.
    *Be enthusiastic about reading.
    *Read the story with expression.
    *Encourage your child to do the same.
    *Take regular visits to the public library.
    *Help your child get his or her own library card.
    *Select books that appeal to you and your child.
    *Set an example by reading books, magazines, and newspaper.

    First Graders:

    1. Raise their hands to talk.

    2. Listen when others talk.

    3. Say nice things to others.

    4. Share and help others.
