    Hello y Hola!

I am looking forward to my 14th year as an ESL Teacher at Hall-Woodward.  I have had the privilege of working with students and their families in Forsyth County, in public as well as private schools, for 26 years. My teaching credentials include a B.A. from Wake Forest University, a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and AIG certification from High Point University. My Masters is in Curriculum and Instruction & English as a Second Language.
I have one daughter, Rebecca, who graduated from UNC-G and has been blessed with a beautiful baby girl and a wonderful job in nearby Charlotte.
This school year the ESL Staff will be busy supporting our classroom teachers with implementing the Commonm Core Curriculum while using the SIOP model of sheltered instruction. We are providing pull-out and "push-in" classes for our English Language Learners. Several of our ESL teachers will also be busy supporting our student-family empowerment program Partners in Learning.

Learning is an innate desire in each of us.  I am proud to be a member of a hard-working ESL Team who nurture and enable learning within each of our English Language Learners at Hall-Woodward.
