    Welcome to our class website!  I am always excited to start the new year getting to know my students and parents. I look forward to meeting you all on Thursday night at our open house.  This is my 26th year of teaching and my 15th year at Jefferson Elementary.  I graduated from McNeese State University in Louisiana with a BS degree in education and a Master's degree in reading education.  Mr. Menzel and I live in Clemmons and have a 26 year old daughter and a 22 year old son .  In the summer, I love to sit outdoors and read.  In the winter you will find me by the fireplace drinking coffee and reading.  Other hobbies I enjoy are cooking, gardening, and yard work.  I am looking forward to starting this new school year!
