Brown Day!White Day!We are in a letter exchange with classes all over the United States! The letter our class made is L for lighthouse! We are mailing these all over the United States. Check out our map in the hall outside our classroom to see what letters we have received and where they came from! We took this photo on white day with our lighthouse "L"s!Purple Day!Green Day!Yellow Day!Red Day!All About Us:Mrs. Kibler is a graduate of Radford University. She has a BA degree in Recreation Administration and a BS degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Kibler is a National Board Certified Teacher. She was teacher of the year for Kimmel Farm Elementary 2010/11! She was teacher of the year at Ward Elementary in 2000. She is the president of the Winston Chapter of the International Reading Association. Mrs. Kibler has taught 3 and 4 year old preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade and fourth grade. Mrs. Kibler also taught Kindermusik. She is married to Dan Kibler who is the editor for the North and South Carolina Sportsman Magazines. They have four wonderful children, Amy who is a producer at WNCN in Raleigh, Carrie who is a Physical Therapist at OrthoCarolina, Katie Grace who is a first grade teacher at Griffith Elementary and Andrew who works at Landmark and two beautiful grandaughters-Grace Ann and Libby Kate! Mrs. Kibler teaches a 7th grade girls Sunday school class, reads, bakes, loves the beach and sweet tea.Ms. Ashley Kieffer is the teaching assistant in our class this year. This is her third year at Kimmel Farm. She is currently enrolled in Grand Canyon University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. She is a wonderful artist and she can draw beautiful things for our school. She loves to read, especially children's literature. Eric Carle and David Catrow are two of her favorites. Ashley has two pets, a gray cat named Chief and a little black and white kitten named Bo. She is very involved in her church and leads the nursery twice a month. She enjoys all things beach related, especially South Port. Her favorite places to shop are Hobby Lobby and Target. She loves spending time with her family and boyfriend Sam. She is so excited to be working with your students this year!
