I have been teaching at Lewisville Elementary School for 13 1/2 years. I have taught kindergarten for 10 years and second grade for 3 1/2 years. This will be my second year in First grade and I am really excited!
I have a Masters Degree from Gardner Webb in reading. I graduated from Appalachian with a degree in Elementary Education.
I am married to Patrick Matthews. Patrick works from home flipping houses. We are very fortunate that he is able to work from home. We have two boys that also attend Lewisville Elementary. Corey is a fifth grader and Justin is a second grader. Justin is excited that I am moving up with him this year.
I really enjoy going to the beach during the summer! This is where you will find me and the boys! I enjoy reading, playing with the boys, watching them pplay sports, and of course, teaching. I love watching the students as they learn.
