Ms. Robertson's First Grade Class - Welcome!!!

Hi there! My name is Sandi Robertson. I have been a single-parent for 24 years to a beautiful daughter, Brooke Lynzi. I have two grandchildren, Emberleigh Grace, who is 3 years old, and Cambria Justice, who just turned 1 in early August.

I received my Bachelors of Education from Winston-Salem State University in May 2004; I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I am in my 10th year of teaching and have been here at Middle Fork since we opened in 2004. All my teaching experience has been in kindergarten, first grade, or K/1  combination classes.  This year, I will only be teaching first grade and I am excited to only have one grade.  I am positive that this will be an awesome year for us all!

Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a teacher assistant, office assistant, and bus driver for another county here in North Carolina. I have also worked as a nursing assistant in in-home private care and an environmental assistant training employees in hospitals, dentist and doctor offices, and funeral homes on the proper usage of hazardous chemicals.

I would like you to rest assured that when you send your child to school each morning - I will be here to care for them as if they were my very own. I will love them, guide them, teach them, discipline them, and treat them as the special individuals they are. In other words, I will try to meet every need each of them have in a way that is meaningful and applicable to who they are. I thank you for your trust and support with your little one.

Nothing brings me more pleasure then putting a smile on a child's face - unless, of course, it is giving and receiving hugs.
