Dear Mineral Springs Elementary Families,
It is my pleasure to welcome new and returning families to the 2023-2024 school year at “The Springs”! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share with you the incredible learning environment and educational journey that awaits our students.
We are a performing and visual arts magnet school. All students (K-5) will participate in weekly specials that include PE, art, music, dance, and theater! Students will also have opportunities to learn language arts, math, science, and social studies through arts-infused demonstrations and performance tasks.
We understand the significance of collaboration between the school and parents in ensuring the success of our students. Your involvement and support play a vital role in creating a strong school community. I encourage you to join PTA and/or join our School Improvement Team. Positive home/school relationships are extremely important, and we believe that you are our partners in education.
To stay abreast of all that is taking place at Mineral Springs, please be sure to have an updated cell phone number and email address to receive information via our Blackboard messaging system. Calls will go out each Sunday with important information for the week. Additionally, your child’s teacher will provide you with a code to join ClassDojo. This is a platform that will also keep you updated with school and classroom information. We also have social media platforms with current news and upcoming events:
· Facebook: Mineral Springs Elementary
· Twitter: msesbulldogs
· Instagram: msesbulldogs
Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns by phone at 336-703-6788 or by email at mjohnson@wsfcs.k12.nc.us. I look forward to working with you and assisting each of our students in achieving their goals.
