    Bill Beattie-The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think - rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men. ~

     

         First, let me introduce myself. My name is Dana Fulk. I have been teaching 26 years. For the past 10 years I have taught second grade at Mineral Springs. 

        Your scholars will be challenged in many areas this year. Their reading and math skills will be greatly strengthened. Much work will be done in cooperative groups, thus encouraging them to work with others to find solutions. The children will experience the science concepts of weather, life cycles, sound, and matter. They will learn about the special part they play in their world. There will be exciting lessons on interesting insects, people in our community, animals that camouflage, and bravery and courage.

        I am excited about working with your 2nd graders.
