ABOUT US
The Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools is a locally funded program helping to create safe and drug-free school environments that give all students the opportunity to learn. Safe and Drug-Free Schools programming seeks to reduce risk and increase protective factors through:
1. Alcohol and drug prevention education: Using research-based curricula to educate students regarding the risks of alcohol and drug use.
2. Policy development: Balancing sanctions for possession, use, and sale of prohibited substances with opportunities for family education and intervention.
3. Random student drug testing: Providing students the opportunity to "Lead By Example" through the "It's My Call/It's Our Call" program.
