We are excited to announce that the Fall Panorama survey has opened today and will run through November 15. Our school will continue to gather data on student, staff, and family well-being and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of each student’s needs.
Staff/Teachers will receive an email from Panorama with their unique survey or you can access directly at surveys.panoramaed.com/winstonsalem and use your staff ID number for the access code. Please hit the blue “Submit” button to enter the survey. If you do not hit this, your responses will not be saved.

The East Forsyth High Band Boosters Holiday Store (partnered with Dewey’s Bakery) is NOW OPEN!
This holiday shopping season, you can put your dollars back into the local community and enjoy fresh baked North Carolina treats. Shop for holiday treats at the East Forsyth Band Boosters’ Dewey’s Bakery Fundraising Store at 1030-K South Main Street, Kernersville (near The Loop)! From Moravian Cookies and Sugar Cake to delicious Cheese Straws, you’re sure to find the perfect gift. Proceeds will go toward supporting all the instrumental music programs at East Forsyth High School.
The store will open Saturday November 12th at 11 am and will be open every day except Thanksgiving day until December 24th. Regular Operating hours will be Monday – Saturday 11 am – 7 pm and Sunday 12 pm – 6 pm.
Any parents that are willing and able to volunteer at the shop please contact Donna Murphy dmmurphy@wsfcs.k12.nc.us to see how you can help make this fundraiser a success!
The OCS program is hosting a can food drive for the month of November and December. The drive starts 11-14 and students can drop items off in any of their classes.

Homelessness in our community is real. Please help HOSA support the local homeless shelters during our 6th annual sock drive. We are collecting socks for men, women, children and infants thru the month of November. They can be dropped off at the office, POD 21 & 25.

The ASVAB will be given on October 26th at 9am in the Media Center. Please sign up to take the ASVAB, the sign-up sheet is in Student Service. The ASVAB is a career assessment that is not only for military service and can help to discover a career path for all students. Taking the ASVAB does not require anyone to pursue military service.

Student Dress Code:
Students shall adhere to their school’s dress code which includes, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Students are prohibited from wearing clothing that contains advertisements for tobacco, alcohol or drugs, pictures or graphics of nudity, or words that are profane, lewd, vulgar, or indecent;
- Clothing exposing a student’s bare chest, bare back, or bare midriff may not be worn;
- All shirts and tops must have straps and/or sleeves; No spaghetti straps or tank tops;
- No see-through clothing is allowed;
- Shoes must be worn;
- Short shorts or skirts are not allowed. A good rule of thumb is that shorts, dresses, skirts and other short attire should be at least mid-thigh length;
- Pants, slacks, jeans or other attire that sag below waist are not allowed;
- Hats, caps, bandanas, or garments which cover the student’s face or conceal the student’s identity.
- Undergarments may not be shown or worn as outerwear; and
- Specialized courses may require specialized attire, such as safety gear; and
- Any symbols, styles or attire frequently associated with gangs, intimidation, violence or violent groups about which students at a particular school have been notified as described in AR 5131.4 are prohibited.

The Forsyth County Public Library Bookmark Art Contest is happening now! Stop by the school Media Center or your local public library to pick up a copy of the contest form. The deadline for entry is October 3 by 6 p.m. All levels of art are accepted—winners will be invited to a special ceremony and have copies of their winning bookmark published at all schools/libraries in Forsyth County. Let’s see how many winners we can get from East!!

SENIOR Guys should wear a WHITE t-shirt (then put on our half tux shirt) OR WHITE dress shirt since they will be using our black Bow Tie & Jacket. SENIOR Girls should wear a STRAPLESS top since they will be wearing our black drape. All underclassmen students should wear a SOLID color shirt for school pictures. 2022 PSAT Information
The PSAT will be on Wednesday, October 12th. It is open to any current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade students. The cost for the test is $18. We are on our second week of our Spring Panorama Survey, our school will continue to gather data on student, staff, and family well-being and experiences in order to gain a deeper understanding of each student’s needs. The survey began on May 9 and will close on May 19.
Teachers will receive an email from Panorama with their unique survey link. Those who have not yet completed surveys will continue to receive reminders during the window.
The students will complete the survey at surveys.panoramaed.com/winstonsalem and enter their student ID as their access code.

Seniors! If you would like to purchase a senior T-shirt you may do so before or after school in room 506 beginning Monday, November 15. Sizes and colors are on a first come, first serve basis. Shirts will not be sold during the school day.

Bookmarks in Winston is hosting a Support Our Schools Night for the EFHS library on April 5, 2022 from 6-8 pm. A portion of ALL SALES FOR THE DAY will be donated to our library for the purchase of new books and materials for our students. This includes in-store and online sales. Please come out and support us on April 5! You can purchase at any point throughout the day or online to support our EFHS library. This is our off-site ‘Book Fair’!
